30 YEARS OF A GLOBAL BILL
OF RIGHTS FOR WOMEN
Since the Convention of Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women (CEDAW) was adopted by the UN General Assembly in December 1979, it has been ratified by 185 countries.
What has CEDAW done for women’s rights? And how can we use CEDAW to achieve greater justice for women?
To mark CEDAW’s 30th birthday, we want to celebrate. We want to gather and share stories, testimonies and reflections about CEDAW to inspire women the world over.
Tell us your stories of change that show how CEDAW has been used to address injustice and to open up pathways of women’s empowerment. And tell others about us, so they can contribute too.
Email us about the stories you have to tell, and share your thoughts, experiences and ideas with us at info@stories-of-cedaw.net
